PILOT SYNOPSIS
When a clown leaves her circus life “for good,” she’s betrayed first by her manager and then her husband. But midlife breathes down her back, and her dream gives her a push, so she makes the leap with no safety net, and finds a crash pad in NY with a new young posse of artists. Her old life keeps chasing her, but from it she knows how to scrap, hustle, and roll(erskate) with the punches, in hot pursuit of a new career on TV.

Amy Gordon has been on the road as a comedian for 10 out of 12 months a year for the past 20 years, and has written and performed her original shows in 46 countries, on 6 continents, and 5 languages.
She’s been featured in films such as Tyler Perry’s A Fall From Grace, and TV shows like Bull, and comedian Earthquake’s, International Boss. Her act at the 2006 Just For Laughs festival has gone viral so many times it was one of the 30 most viewed videos ever. She’s been a semi-finalist on Got Talent shows in Germany, Italy, and France, and featured on comedy specials and documentaries in Austria, Germany, and the UK.
As a New Yorker, she's played all over, most recently as the first ever female solo comedian to lead the Big Apple Circus’ at Lincoln Center, in a role she created and wrote. She starred in the Olivier- and Off-Broadway Theatre League-Awarded shows, La Clique and La Soiree, was the Artistic Director for Daredevil Opera Company, the writer and comedy director for the hit Broadway show, Anti-Gravity’s Crash Test Dummies, as well as writing and devising much of the interactive James Bond concert/comedy show, Shaken Not Stirred.
She believes in the transformative and unifying power of comedy and will obviously go to any lengths to achieve it. Currently she’s building a house upstate NY with her husband, roller skating in her attic, and working up her next big ideas.
Director - Producer
Rob Margolies graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production. His first movie, “LIFELINES” (Kanbar Entertainment) won several awards at film festivals across the country. His second and third, “SHE WANTS ME” and “ROOMMATE WANTED” have been bought and distributed by Lionsgate worldwide.
Margolies had three feature films released worldwide in 2020 - “ALL YOU CAN EAT”, “IMMORTAL” and “YES” all with exceptional celebrity casts.
Margolies has served as a writer, producer, and/or director on a variety of TV shows, web series, and feature films. His most recent films as a producer are “NEVER HEARD”, a faith-based gospel film now on Netflix, “I’D LIKE TO BE ALONE NOW” (Gravitas Ventures, worldwide) and “LOVE AND COMMUNICATION” a true story about a family’s struggle raising an autistic son, in post-production.
Rob is currently attached to several other feature films with all-star casts, including "MAN & WITCH", “BOBCAT MORETTI”, “BURNING GIRL”, “THE INTIMACY COORDINATOR” and “THE HOME”.

Chris Roberti is an actor, writer, teacher and editor who lives in Brooklyn. See him on HBO’s High Maintenance and Comedy Central’s Broad City. He’s taught and performed at The People’s Improv Theater, Reckless Theater, and UCB. A founding member of Bankrukt, in 2014, they set out to make a video every week for a year. They achieved their goal and kept going. Bankrukt makes comedy that is fast, fun and friendly but rooted in real emotion, and not afraid to get goofy. Commissioned by Nameless TV to create a webseries called New York, Am I Right?, it hit number 3 on Indiewire’s Best of 2016. And Bankrukt's latest work, Shiva (which blends comedy with grief) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The team has a BRICtv-produced mockumentary in the works. He has a degree from Harvard.

He is the cinematographer for a long list of television and films including Big Time, Love and Communication, The Rift (Short), Star Wars: An Idiot's Array, The Buddy House, Jesus H. Heist, Mi Loisaida, This, Splitting the D,Pillow Talk, G-h-o-s-t-c-r-o-w-n, The Overpass, and Starving Artists: NY (TV Series). He consistently works on camera crews for shows like The Plot Against America, The Spy Who Raised Me, Say Yes to the Dress, and Marvel 616, among others. He wrote, produced, edited and shot the short film The Rift, and documentary, Mi Loisaida, produced Dead Riser and directed Pillow Talk. He's just finished shooting shows for Netflix, Bravo and HBO Max.
